A prominent traditional elder was killed when a roadside bomb exploded and hit the car he was traveling in with others.
Reports from the region indicate that Yusuf Fidow was killed in a roadside bomb explosion near Aqaboy village in Hiiraan.
The incident took place on Friday, September 16.
Authorities believe that Al-Shabaab planted the roadside bomb.
Apart from Fidow, other people also lost their lives in the explosion. They include Ibrahim Yusuf, who is Fidow’s son.
Two other traditional elders lost their lives too.
They were identified as Muqtar Haji and Hassan Hussein.
