The Puntland cabinet met on February 11 under the leadership of President Said Abdullahi Deni and passed the Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites Bill.
President Deni expressed his delight at the decision by the cabinet to approve the Bill.
The regional state has several critical historical sites.
Through this bill, the administration of President Deni hopes that the monuments and archaeological sites would be managed properly.
Deni’s cabinet also discussed several other issues.
These included development of Puntland’s education system, security, and several pressing current issues.
The September 17, 2020 agreement signed between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) also received a fair amount of attention.
