The regional government of Puntland has cancelled all public transportation for the next 15 days to halt the spread of COVID-19.
President Abdullahi Dani chaired a meeting that resolved to cancel all forms of public transportation to curb the spread of the pandemic that has brought the world to its knees.
Further, President Dani’s meeting also agreed to curb illegal fishing being carried within all the territorial waters within the state.
The move follows the decision by Puntland to shut its borders with Somaliland while banning all forms of trade with its neighbor in the wake of the crisis brought about by COVID-19.
