Puntland has deployed troops along its border with Somaliland as tensions between them escalate.

With news that Puntland was deploying its troops, Somaliland also asked its soldiers based in the camp at Tukaraq District to be on high alert.
The Tukaraq troops are reportedly ready to mobilize on short notice and block any incursion by the Puntland forces into the country.
Puntland has placed its troops in several military barracks set up near Boocame, which Somaliland considers part of its territory.
