Puntland lawmakers have accused the Federal Government of Somalia obstructing development projects in Puntland.
They claim that the federal authorities are hindering progress by not allocating necessary funds or approvals for these projects.
This dispute highlights ongoing tensions between Puntland and the central government regarding resource distribution and regional development.
The MPs made the accusations in the regional parliament during its Tuesday session.
They termed the move by Mogadishu a “collective punishment” designed to deny Puntland equitable development opportunities.
The legislators further aver that the move will deprive their regional state of the essential services their people crave.
