The regional state of Puntland has indicated that it remains steadfastly committed to the federal system in Somalia.
Mahamed Abdirahman, a Puntland regional minister, issued this assurance this week on Monday.
Abdirahman is Puntland’s Minister of Finance.
He has previously served the regional administration in various other capacities. These include working as the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Democratization.
He was speaking during a meeting with other ministers.
Heads of other agencies attended the meeting and the subsequent discussions too.
Issues discussed at the meeting include the World Bank projects in Puntland as well as their implementation; challenges faced, and best practices.
