Puntland regional parliament voted to strip eight parliamentarians of immunity on Thursday, December 3.
The eight Members of Parliament (MPs) are part of the House of Representatives.
They were accused of violating the Lower House’s Code of Conduct.
During the vote to strip them of immunity, 35 MPs voted in favor of the motion. Three MPs rejected the motion while one of them abstained.
Nevertheless, the identities of the eight MPs remain unknown.
