Ahmed E. Osman Karaash, the Vice President of the regional state of Puntland, launched the renovation of a local road on September 15.
Vice President Karaash laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the road linking Harfo to Jalam on Wednesday.
The road covers a distance of 65kms and is 7.3m wide.
This rehabilitation project is part of the efforts by the local administration to improve the quality of the 240kms Galkaio-Garowe Road.
The European Union (EU) has funded this project to the tune of €6 million.
