Russian President Vladimir Putin has thrown his weight behind the efforts by Somalia to fight terrorism and extremism.
Putin said this on Wednesday, December 1 while receiving credentials from Hassan Abdi Daoud, the new Somali Ambassador to Russia.
“We wish Somalia success in all efforts it makes in the fight against terrorism and extremism,” President Putin said.
He told the new Somali Ambassador that Russia is cognizant of the efforts the East African nation has taken to eradicate terrorism and extremism.
