Hassan Bin Hamza, the Qatari Ambassador to Somalia, discussed his country’s development projects in Somalia with Mayor Omar Mohamud Filish of Mogadishu.
Ambassador Hamza’s meeting with Mayor Filish took place in Mogadishu on January 17.
Mayor Filish, who doubles as the Governor of Benadir Region, visited Ambassador Hamza with several members of his office.
The Deputy Mayor of Mogadishu attended Sunday’s discussions.
Qatar remains one of Somalia’s most important development partners. It has initiated several projects in the East African nation.
Three years ago, the Qatari government signed an agreement with Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to construct highways linking Mogadishu to Afgoye and Jowhar.
