President Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoorqoor of Somalia’s semiautonomous region of Galmudug traveled to Djibouti for his first official visit.
Qoorqoor arrived in the Djiboutian capital on Wednesday.
The trip represents the first time he has traveled outside Somalia since assuming office in February 2020.
However, his office is yet to declare the purpose of the visit.
Several top officials in his administration formed part of the delegation that accompanied him on the visit.
