The holy month of Ramadan kicks off on Thursday, March 23 in Somalia.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud confirmed this to the public on Wednesday.
During his speech, President Mohamud congratulated Somalis as they embark on Ramadan.
He encouraged Somalis to remember the less fortunate as they observe Ramadan.
