Shukri Habib Saed, a refugee girl, has registered the highest marks in national primary examinations in Somaliland.
Saed’s dream of joining a top secondary school in the country is now a reality.
The refugee girl has harbored that dream since last year in June when she decided to focus on her studies.
When the results were announced, Saed ranked first in the country with 690 out of 700 marks.
In the process, she made history by being the first student in Somaliland to record the highest marks in national primary examinations.
Saed said, “It gives me great pleasure to bring honor to my family, friends, and community with these marks.”
She attributed her success to the incredible support her family has extended to her during her studies.
