The registration of candidates for the upcoming presidential elections in Somalia ends on Tuesday, May 10.
The Joint Parliamentary Committee on Presidential Elections will close the registration exercise at exactly 4pm.
There are reports that the committee has so far registered close to 40 candidates.
A female contestant also registered with the committee on the first day of registration, which was Sunday, May 8.
Candidates had to meet several requirements, including the payment of a registration fee of $40,000.
