The registration of candidates for the upcoming presidential elections in Somalia kicks off on Sunday, May 8.
Individuals interested in the seat are expected to register their interest today.
The parliamentary committee tasked with organizing the polls has already published a list of requirements that each interested candidate must meet first.
The requirements include paying a fee of $40,000.
Senate (Upper House) is the venue where the candidates must visit to register their names with the Joint Parliamentary Committee for Presidential Elections.
Somalia holds presidential polls on Sunday, May 15.
