The residents of Mogadishu can breathe a sigh of relief after security agents foiled a potentially devastating suicide attack.
According to authorities, a suicide bomber was stopped while on his way to a restaurant located at Sayidka Junction in Mogadishu on Friday evening.
Upon being stopped, he detonated the bomb thus killing himself.
The explosion injured the security officer who stopped him.
A report from the Somali Police Force (SPF) indicated that the suicide bomber had targeted a restaurant that was the scene of yet another attack in September.
The previous attack caused the death of five people.
