Richard H. Riley has been appointed the new United States Ambassador to Somalia.
Riley is a seasoned diplomat.
Back in March this year, US President Joe Biden proposed him for the position.
Riley has become the fourth US Ambassador to Somalia since 2013.
He has served as a diplomat since 1986.
Countries where he has served include those in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, and Europe.
