Roble Backs Gudlawe for Sacking Chairman of HirShabelle SEIT

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has backed the President of HirShabelle State for sacking the head of the regional electoral body.

HirShabelle’s President Ali Gudlawe had sacked Ahmed Hassan Dini from his role as the Chairperson of the State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT).

Gudlawe accused Dini of employing delaying tactics to avoid filling HirShabelle’s remaining seats of the House of the People (Lower House).

According to Gudlawe, Dini is also guilty of deviating from hitherto agreed procedures for conducting the elections.

Prime Minister Roble hailed Gudlawe’s decision.

He welcomed the decision by Gudlawe to appoint Mohamed Hussein Mohamed the new head of SEIT.

Roble promised to keep a close eye on HirShabelle as the state concludes its elections.
