Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has extended his congratulations to the new senators elected to represent Somaliland in the Upper House.
On September 28, Somaliland elected its first batch of six senators.
The second batch of five is expected to be elected on Thursday.
While congratulating the new senators, Prime Minister Roble also took the time to commend State Indirect Elections Team (SIET) for the sterling job.
In his view, SIET did an excellent job of managing Somaliland’s senator seats elections.
He now asked all stakeholders to maintain the momentum and ensure that the remaining national elections are conducted in an atmosphere of political stability.
