Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has congratulated the newly elected Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Senate (Upper House).
Senators elected their Speaker and Deputy Speakers on Tuesday, April 26.
Abdi Hashi Abdullahi has been reelected as the Speaker of the Upper House.
Speaker Hashi is also a Senator representing Somaliland.
Roble congratulated Senator Ali Shabaan Ibrahim for winning the race to be the First Deputy Speaker of the Senate.
He also extended his congratulatory messages to Senator Abdullahi Ali Hersi for emerging victorious in the race for the Second Deputy Speaker of the Senate.
