Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has called for a National Consultative Forum on Thursday, August 19.
On Sunday, a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister on Sunday confirmed this.
In the statement, the Prime Minister said that the forum is open to representatives of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), Federal Member States (FMS), and Banadir Regional Administration (BRA).
The forum is scheduled for Mogadishu.
According to the Prime Minister, the forum will focus on preparations for the upcoming elections for the House of Representatives.
Currently, the country is holding elections for the Upper House (Senate).
The forum would also discuss the completion of the ongoing electoral procedures and funding for the remaining elections.
