Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has discussed the upcoming elections for the House of the People (Lower House) seats with Mohamed Hassan Cirro.
Cirro, the Chairman of the Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT), paid the Prime Minister a courtesy call on November 24.
The two met at the Prime Minister’s office.
During their meeting, they discussed preparations for holding expeditious, direct, and transparent elections.
Further, they advised all stakeholders to ensure that Somalia holds elections without anyone being abused or mistreated.
Elections for the Lower House seats have already kicked off in parts of the country.
Somaliland has already elected seven Members of Parliament (MPs).
Galmudug’s elections kick off on Wednesday, November 24.
