Roble Holds Zoom Meeting with Regional State Leaders

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a Zoom meeting with all the regional state leaders on November 29.

The focus of the meeting was the ongoing elections.

The Prime Minister urged the leaders of the Federal Member States (FMS) to ensure that their regions hold credible and transparent elections.

Somalia is currently holding elections for the House of the People (Lower House) seats.

Roble shared his concerns on the elections with the regional state leaders, who included Jubaland’s President Ahmed Islam Madobe.

Others included Puntland’s President Said Abdullahi Deni, Galmudug’s President Ahmed Karie Qoorqoor, and HirShabelle’s Ali Gudlawe.

Omar Filish, the Governor of the Benadir Regional Administration and Mayor of Mogadishu, also attended Monday’s meeting.

Southwest State’s President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen was also present.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Roble spoke of the complaints that several parliamentary candidates have raised on the elections.
