Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble hosted dinner for legislators who were elected to represent Gedo, Jubbaland in the House of the People (Lower House).
He invited the 16 Lower House lawmakers to the dinner, which took place in Mogadishu on Wednesday, May 11.
Recently, Speaker Sheikh Aden Madobe of the Lower House declared the elections carried out in El-Wak legitimate.
Consequently, by that decree, he also approved the election of the 16 Members of Parliament (MPs).
Speaker Madobe’s edict also solved the confusion created when another batch of 16 MPs was elected in Garbaharey.
Prime Minister Roble congratulated the 16 bona fide MPs.
He charged them to exercise their mandate with wisdom.
