Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble hosted a dinner for the newly elected House of the People legislators from Somaliland.
The Prime Minister invited them all to Mogadishu for the dinner on February 23.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Roble awarded a Certificate of Distinction each to Somaliland’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) and Federal Election Commission.
He also recognized the efforts put in by security officials to ensure that elections for Somaliland Members of Parliament (MPs) went on smoothly and safely.
Thus far, Somaliland remains the only region in Somalia to have concluded elections for the federal Lower House seats.
Somaliland has now filled all its 46 seats at the Lower House in Mogadishu.
