Roble Lays Foundation Stone for Expansion of Yerdemeli Hospital

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble laid the foundation stone for the expansion of one of Mogadishu’s largest hospitals.

On February 9, Roble supervised the ceremony.

Yardemeli is a specialist hospital in Mogadishu that caters for the needs of mothers and children.

Its management rate it Africa’s largest hospital for maternal and children services.

During the ceremony, Prime Minister Roble reiterated his government’s commitment towards ensuring that Somali mothers have access to critical healthcare services.

Furthermore, Roble also mentioned that the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) would not cede its commitment to guaranteeing Somalis access to quality education and infrastructure.

He commended Turkey for supporting the Somali government in constructing and expanding Yardemeli Hospital.
