Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble opened the newly refurbished headquarters for the Ministry of Agriculture in Mogadishu.
Roble opened the offices on Thursday, October 15.
Agriculture ministry’s headquarters were destroyed during the civil war of the 1990s.
During the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Roble praised the staff and officials of the agriculture ministry for working hard to make the renovation successful.
In his speech, Prime Minister Roble also assured farmers of increased support from the Federal Government of Somalia because of the role they play in the country’s economic growth.
He also urged farmers around the country to continue improving and increasing agricultural output to ensure that Somalia’s food security gets better.
