Roble Rejects Farmaajo’s Commission of Inquiry on Death of NISA Agent

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has rejected the national commission of inquiry that President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo formed to investigate the death of a female intel officer.

Farmaajo had appointed the 5-member commission on September 13.

The purpose of the commission was to investigate the death of Ikran Tahlil, a female officer working with the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Roble issued a statement expressing his views on the commission.

First, he termed the move by President Farmaajo “unconstitutional.”

In his statement on President Farmaajo’s move, the Prime Minister said that the executive has no role to play in the judicial arm of the government.
