Roble Urges International Partners to Help Emergency Drought Response

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has urged Somalia’s international partners to help the country’s emergency drought response efforts.

Roble said this on March 14 when he held a meeting with some of Somalia’s donors.

Drought has left more than 4.5 million people in Somalia on the brink of starvation, disease, and death.

The country needs financial assistance, food donations, and medical supplies to meet the needs of vulnerable households and individuals.

During Monday’s meeting, Prime Minister Roble urged donors to hasten humanitarian assistance as the situation is worsening with each new day.
