Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has encouraged Somali journalists to embrace ethical reporting.
Roble was speaking when he met representatives of the media in his Mogadishu office on January 12.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister acknowledged journalists for the critical role they play in promoting peace.
He commended them for contributing to the state-building efforts that the government is focused on too.
Roble encouraged members of the Fourth Estate to embrace objective and ethical reporting as the East African nation enters the electioneering period.
Moreover, Prime Minister Roble said that journalists offer services that not only guide but also enlighten the public on elections and other aspects of life.
