Roble Urges Mogadishu’s Business Community to Help Hargeisa Market Fire Victims

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting with the business community in Mogadishu on April 3.

The purpose of Roble’s meeting with the business community was to discuss ways of supporting the victims of the Hargeisa market fire tragedy.

Waaheen Market went up in flames on April 1.

The fire rendered over 2,000 traders without premises to operate in or products to sell.

According to estimates by the committee that the Somaliland government appointed to investigate the fire, traders lost close to $2 billion in assets.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Roble urged Mogadishu’s business community to support their colleagues in Hargeisa.
