Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has issued instructions to the Minister of Security to enhance security in Mogadishu.
Roble made the directive on Saturday evening a day after terrorists attacked a busy restaurant in the capital that specializes in selling ice cream.
On Friday, November 27, Al-Shabaab fighters hit Gelato Divino restaurant when a suicide bomber detonated himself.
Eight young men were killed in the process.
Countless other individuals around the vicinity of the restaurant were injured and rushed to hospital for medical attention.
Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the latest deadly attack against innocent civilians.
On November 28, a few hours after the victims of the deadly explosion were laid to rest, Prime Minister Roble asked the security ministry to move with speed to make the capital safe for everyone.
Further, he asked the security ministry to incorporate the input of the armed forces to ensure that Mogadishu remains a peaceful and secure place for all.
Roble encouraged members of the public to cooperate with security agencies to oppose terrorists, who derive pleasure in causing death, destruction, and pain.
