Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble visited Imam Mohamed Yusuf at the latter’s residence to offer his support over a recent terror attack against him.
Roble visited Imam Yusuf on February 14.
He offered his sympathies to Imam Yusuf whose car came under sudden gunfire on Saturday, February 13.
While at Imam Yusuf’s residence, Prime Minister Roble said, “I’m saddened by yesterday’s events where our cleric’s car came under heavy gunfire.”
Roble spoke about the ongoing insecurity in the region.
The attempted attack was the latest made against a prominent Somali by unknown persons.
There has been no claim of responsibility by any person or group although the attack bears the hallmarks of Al-Shabaab.
