The Ahlu Sunna scholars have alleged that Somalia’s Minister of Religion, Mukhtar Robow, has ordered the closure of Al-Khadar Mosque in Mogadishu.
According to their claims, Robow intends to wrest control of the mosque from them and transfer its management to his allies.
They view this action as unjust and have issued a stern warning, stating they may take direct action if the minister does not withdraw his decision.
This development could escalate tensions between the government and religious groups, potentially impacting ongoing efforts to unify religious leadership and maintain stability.
If this matter is not resolved diplomatically, it could lead to broader conflict or unrest among religious communities in Mogadishu.
