Somalia has appointed Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbalolshe as the new Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
The Council of Ministers approved Sanbalolshe’s appointment to take over from Mahad Salad who resigned from the post on Wednesday evening.
Sanbalolshe is not taking over as the new NISA chief for the first time. He has served in that office twice before.
Apart from that, Sanbalolshe has also occupied other offices in the government. He served as the federal Minister of Security as well as the Somali Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
