Save the Children and the United Kingdom are ready to work together to address issues affecting children in Somalia.
Inger Ashing, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Save the Children, confirmed this on Wednesday.
Ashing said the close cooperation between the two emerged after discussions she held with Mike Nithavrianakis, the UK Ambassador to Somalia.
Ashing and Amb. Nithavrianakis met in Mogadishu.
She commended the strong partnership that Save the Children historically enjoys with the UK Embassy in Somalia.
Amb. Nithavrianakis added that issues they discussed during their meeting included education, health, and various children’s issues.
