The Somalia Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Kenya Airways to formally address and provide explanations regarding the “significant delays” experienced by Somali passengers who were stranded at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for three days.
Flights from the JKIA facility were delayed for hours thus inconveniencing thousands of passengers up to Monday morning.
The SCAA’s statement highlights concerns over the prolonged delays and emphasizes the need for a prompt response and resolution from Kenya Airways to prevent such incidents in the future.
Kenya Airways resumed flights to the Somali capital last year after years of being banned by the administration of Ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
