Second Coronavirus Case Confirmed in Somalia

Dr. Fawzia Abikar Nur, the Minister of Health in Somalia, has confirmed the second Coronavirus case in the country.

She held a press conference in Mogadishu to relay the news that will add further anxiety in the Horn of Africa nation.

While delivering the news, Dr. Nur asked the public to exercise caution. She also asked Somalis to avoid public gatherings until the situation improves.

Last month, the Ministry of Health announced the first Coronavirus case in the country.

On March 19, the Federal Government of Somalia announced it had set aside $5 million to help the fight against the pandemic that has shaken the world to its roots.
