A secondary school student ended her life after failing her graduation examinations in Somaliland.
Reports from Hargeisa indicate that the young student committed suicide on Thursday, September 16.
The father of Layla Abid Mohamed said that she hang herself to death at 11 am on Thursday.
The heartbroken father said that his daughter used to love studying her books. She had even planned to enroll in university for the upcoming academic year.
One of Layla’s neighbors claimed that she was distraught about the results of the end-year exams, which she had just received.
Layla was from a low-income family.
