Security agents in Jubbaland’s administrative capital of Kismayo have launched a manhunt for the people responsible for attacking Deputy Speaker’s residence on Monday night.
Last night, November 10, unknown attackers launched a grenade attack at the residence of Abdi Baaleey Hussein, the Deputy Speaker of Jubbaland Regional Parliament.
Three of the Deputy Speaker’s family was injured.
However, Hussein was not hurt during the shocking incident.
Military and police officers launched a joint operation to identify the perpetrators. They have already arrested several suspects.
Security sources suspect that the incident was part of the targeted killings that have become rampant in the region in recent times.
