Security and Justice Party chairperson is kidnapped in Mogadishu

Security and Justice Party has held protests over what it called the kidnap of its chairperson by the FGS security apparatus. According to a statement from the party, Yusuf Hassan Mursal was ‘kidnapped’ by officers from the intelligence agency from his house in Mogadishu Monday and ‘was taken to unknown location’ in Mogadishu.The arrest of Mursal followed a meeting by supporters and allied of former Al-Shabaab deputy Mukhtar Robow,  to observe the one year since Robow was arrested, while he was in the race to become the next South West president, in December 2018. Robow is believed was never brought to court and is being held by the FGS Intelligence and Security Service, NISA.
