Security has been beefed up in Mogadishu ahead of the inauguration of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
President Mohamud’s inauguration takes place on Thursday, June 9.
Several leaders from Somalia and other nations have already arrived in the East African nation for the historic event.
General Abdi Hassan Hijaar, the Somali Police Force (SPF) Chief, issued fresh orders to the security officers working under him.
He urged them to bolster the security of the capital ahead of the historic inauguration.
