Security forces held large-scale military operations in northeastern Somalia to eradicate extremists in the region.
Multiple insiders in the military said that Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF) held the operations in the coastal parts of the region on Monday and Tuesday this week.
The operations mostly took place around the Bari-Sanaag regions.
Furthermore, reports indicate that the military operations would not stop until the region stops being a hotbed for terrorist groups.
