Security agents killed a man found planting an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Warta Nabada District, Mogadishu.
According to security sources, the man was caught red-handed digging a hole to plant the IED.
The officers were in the area after responding to a tipoff from members of the public suspicious of the man’s actions.
Seinab Habsey, the District Commissioner of Warta Nabada, confirmed the incident to the press while commending the security officers for dealing with the matter efficiently.
The District Commissioner also expressed gratitude to the local residents for reporting the suspicious man and urged them to continue doing so.
Habsey mentioned that the government has deployed security agents to investigate the matter and identify those who sent the man to plant the IED.
