Mogadishu — Police in Mogadishu arrested Sharif Mohamed Ahmed in connection with the fatal shooting of Abdifitah Abdi Osman.
Ahmed is a security guard at Safari Apartments in Mogadishu.
Osman, a well-known footballer and staff member of Astaan TV, was shot dead on Sunday.
Authorities confirmed that the incident took place within the Safari Apartments compound, where the suspect was stationed.
The motive behind the killing remains under investigation.
Police stated that the suspect is currently in custody and that further details will be released as the inquiry progresses.
