Security Officers Ordered to Remove Roble’s Posters from Puntland Streets Ahead of Elections

Security officers in Puntland have been ordered to remove Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble’s posters from streets and buildings in the region.

The officers have been seen moving around Garowe, the administrative capital of the region, removing the posters.

Officers have been removing campaign posters that feature images of the Prime Minister.

The act comes at a time when the region is hosting Prime Minister Roble who arrived in Puntland on Friday, December 11.

Roble is in the region to discuss the elections impasse with President Said Abdullahi Deni and other leaders.

His tour is the first of many that he is to conduct in all the five Federal Member States (FMS).

On December 7, he vowed to visit the five regional states to discuss electoral-related issues with a view to finding solutions for the ongoing impasse.
