Security Officials Say IEDs in Beled Hawo Targeted Officers from Federal Military Courts

The Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) removed from Beled Hawo town in Somalia targeted officers from the federal military courts, security officials in the region have said.

On Tuesday, several IEDs planted along the Beled Hawo-Dolow Road were removed by security authorities.

After a day of intense investigations, the officials announced on Wednesday that the landmines targeted a delegation of officers from the federal military courts.

Led by Col. Hassan A. Nur, the officers from the military courts are in the region to conduct trials for Al-Shabaab suspects who have been arrested in recent operations.

Fortunately, nobody was harmed as bomb experts removed the landmines from the region.
