At the welcoming ceremony for a Turkish oil exploration vessel at Mogadishu seaport, the Minister of Internal Security, Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali, informed the media that seismic studies will be conducted in Southwest, Jubaland, and HirShabelle states.
During the event held on Friday, the minister expressed optimism that potential oil discoveries could pave the way for “an affluent future” for Somalia.
This initiative marks a significant step in Somalia’s efforts to harness its natural resources for economic growth.
