A senior trainer with Al-Shabaab has been killed in a drone attack carried out by the military in southern Somalia.
The trainer, who was identified as Abdulkadir Commandos, was killed in an airstrike carried out jointly by Somali National Army (SNA) and United States African Command (AFRICOM).
Reports indicate that the Tuesday drone attack specifically targeted his house in Saakow.
Commandos has been working with Al-Shabaab for some time after his original group known as Hizbul Islam merged with the Al-Qaeda linked militia.
He was killed around midday on August 25.
