A senior Somaliland army commander has been captured in Las Anod.
Reports from the region show that SCC-Khatuumo militants captured the senior military officer from the Somaliland armed forces.
The officer was captured as SCC-Khaatumo troops captured two strategic military bases in Las Anod.
SCC-Khaatumo fighters were now in control of the military bases at Gojacade and Maraaga after carrying out an operation on Friday, August 25.
SCC-Khaatumo fighters clashed with Somaliland forces early on Friday morning.
